Touchscreen not working after glass replacement

Replaced JUST the glass on the iPad 4, kept the original apple LCD which was fine, used a hairdryer quite a bit to remove the adhesive, and also to blow all the dust off. Put it all back together, the screen powers up and everything, however it's not responding when i touch, or swipe the screen. I've removed all the plastic films and protectors, taken the cable out and put it back in 4 times, any suggestions? It's for a customer so is urgent that the problem is resolved, would the heat have killed the sensitivity in the actual LCD?

Thanks

Jacob

Try a new digitizer. This is a not uncommon problem with cheap digitizers. Also, since you originally thought the touch was on the LCD (it's not), double check the connection of the digitizer (front glass). And if you've been touching the LCD, CAREFULLY clean it using a soft cloth - NOT paper towel. I recommend a screen cleaner like [关联产品丢失或禁用: IF145-194-2]

No, it's the LCD that won't respond to the touchscreen, when I touch the LCD with my finger without the glass too, it still doesn't respond.

Sounds like you need to try a new glass digitizer. The glass senses your touch. Not the lcd.
