Latch won't latch when closing...
Why won't the screen latch perform correctly?

First look at the upper hook to see if it is intact. Slowly close the id till it is almost closed to see if the magnet is pulling it down. See if anything is clogged in the lower receiver mechanism. The upper and lower cases may be out of alignment.

I semi-close it, I can see the hook. Nothing in the lower case (FOD or crud). Case aligns perfectly.
This was a bottom case swap, (old lid, new bottom)
perhaps the cause ?
