MacBook won't boot after memory upgrade

I have a mid 2007 13 inch Macbook that won't boot after installing an additional 1 GB of memory (for a total of 2). I tried removing it and putting back the 1 gig again and it still won't boot. The battery lights indicate a full battery but the magsafe light is amber when connected. I tried resetting the SMC and the Pram without luck. There is no sound of fan, etc and no lights anywhere.

Any ideas?

Did you only remove the same module you put in, or did you try removing both? Are you sure you follow good ESD practices?

If the RAM is wrong type it won't work- we need more info than just the chip size (Speed, Timing, Voltage, Channel) Does the old RAM still boot the box? If not might you have damaged the risers?
