Repairing BR Drive On PS4. Unknown Piece

The black piece looks like the manual eject gear. I'll post some pics so you can see where it goes and what it looks like. There is also a spring that goes on top of it to keep it from engaging when it is not in use. The black piece shown in the pic is also broken, but it still looks like the one in your pics.

Hi, i had this problem as well, but when i was going to insert the piece, the Spring flew, and i Lost it.

I put the black piece on place, but the drive doesn't accept disks at all...

Can you help me please.

Cut down to size a spring from a bic lighter .it should work

Yes…what the answer to this question… I have a PlayStation 4….and I don't know what to do with this piece.

I opened mine up for the same problem and was very careful not to let the spring fly. I opened it and found that the spring wasn’t even there, and the black piece was rattling around inside. I think the spring came off during a moving trip (since that’s when my disk ejecting problem started). I put the black gear back in place, and I’ll look for the spring; if I can’t find it I will try to find a replacement spring. Thank you so much, even if I can’t find the spring!
