Left Side of LCD has shadows/lines after screen repair?

Hey guys,

I've had this issue once or twice now and basically after replacing the glass on an iPad Air, the left side of the LCD has weird shadows going down the side of it. Not sure what caused it as I'm always very careful throughout the repair (expensive devices!) but just wanted to check with the iFixit community to see if anyone had some insight here.

I did a quick search and read about possible firmware issues, although this seemed to be for a different issue than what I'm having.

I'll try to get a picture uploaded soon.

Thanks for any help!

I have the same defuse squarish pattern up the entire left side. I sent it back thinking it was a manufactures defect only to have a replacement one do the same thing. It has no pressure behind it. It's not even screwed down. Appreciate any help.

Had the same issue, also still present when the screws were not secured. I was thinking it could have been the connector ribbon as I pulled the edge up a bit when trying to take the connector plate off it (I didn't rip the connector but it just pealed at bit from the connection piece), but not certain.
