I use a couple spanned by a very thick piece of glass for a small coffee table.

Sorry, I just looked at your link and the wood looks much better but a lot of work.
I recently came across a customer that had 10 of these in storage and did not need anymore. I got them for free, most of them still run, but I want to do something cool with them. I think it all points to furniture for now.
