3d tab not working.
my 3ds xl when i turned it on for the first time i chose the language and then I did the calibration test but when i put my 3d thing up to full it still said put the 3d thing up to full so maybe it is not sensing it.

Is this a brand new console? If so you need to take it back and get a refund.
The tab that you push to adjust the 3D setting attaches to a small slider inside the console. This small slider sometimes breaks off and can cause the problem you are having. Another thing that I've seen is sometimes the outer tab can be misaligned with the inner tab and cause the 3D to not work.
If the inner tab is broken off the it requires that the entire console be taken apart to repair it. If it's just a problem with the 3D slider itself then the top screen would need to be taken apart.
Like I said though, you need to take this console back where you got it because this is not a simple fix.
