iPod won't charge, not battery problem

I recently changed my battery because my iPod would not charge, now it still wont charge or connect to Itunes. It pretty much just doesnt even register that it is connected. Please HELP!!! Could it be a problem inside the iPod where it connects to the cord???

I'm guessing you have an issue with your dock connector. Check it again to make sure that all of your cables and connectors are seated properly. If that still doesn't work, you may need to replace the dock connector.
