Replace WiFi chip with other model
I would like to replace my Broadcom WiFi chip with a model of another manufacturer with better support for the open-source community, e.g., Atheros.
What are Atheros chips that will fit into my MacBook Pro?

Sadly, you have no means to connect anything internally and swapping out your current AirPort board won't help you here as there is no Atheros unit to replace it with.
You can get an external USB connected unit, but I don't think you'll find any new units out there, you'll need to look at the used market.
