Cracked chrome bezel around display

I dropped my phone a while ago, and noticed some cracks in the small chrome bezel around the display. Not really a problem until recently... when a couple of the cracks near the corner allowed part of the bezel to fall off. I've been keeping the piece in place with superglue and tape, but it's not really a long term solution.

Looking at the guides and teardown, it appears that the only way to replace the chrome bezel is to replace the whole display and digitizer assembly. Is this true? The display has no problems, so I hesitate to spend $200+ for a little piece of chrome. Do you have any other suggestions to keep the pieces in place?

Hi,

The touch screen and the LCD display are glued to the front bezel (frame).

You can found this spare part but separating the Touch screen & LCD display from the frame is very hard. You must have very good experience and special tools to do this. Even for a specialist there is high risk breaking them. You can't found a mobile phone technician, who is willing to do this.

Regards.

You can use 3M double sided tape for phone repair but its hard to let it in place.

You can secure the installation by adding an screen protector film, that you will not hit the little peace.

I sugess to wait a little bit for the parts. It's an brand new phone and remplacement screen with be lower in few weeks and months.

Good luck.
