Broke microphone connector replacing LCD. Is it fixable?

I recently replaced my MacBook's LCD panel. The panel works great, but in the teardown process I broke the microphone connector off the motherboard (yes, despite the warnings in the tutorial). Is there any hope for fixing this, or am I stuck without a mic?

As a work around get a USB audio adaptor - or a headset with voice quality microphone - depending on your intended use of the mic. USB audio is separate from analog audio, most adaptors include a mic, and in/out jack ports.

I tend to agree the first reply would be you're easiest solution.

There may be some hope of fixing it depending how much damage has been done to the motherboard.

I would NOT recommend you try this yourself, unless you already have extensive experience with soldering delicate computer boards and components.

It's not as easy as it looks, especially with this sort of equipment, the motherboard will be multi-layered (probably 4 or 6 layers), not just multi-sided. These circuit boards and most of the components are extremely sensitive to heat, which makes soldering, removing, and replacing components very delicate and difficult.
