Fans won't go on after ssd upgrade
I replaced my hard drive with a samsung 840 pro ssd and i turned it on and noticed it was silent i open the lid and the fan was not on. i have my mac on a notebook cooling pad for now.

Install a Fan App - check the temperature (it may also tell you if a sensor is not reporting - though usually the default for that is fans on full power to ensure cooling). Try using it off the pad - if it's too cool the sensor wont trigger the fan.
