iPod stuck on pause

Hi I have been using my Ipod in my car, and now I have a problem, it stopped working and I can not do anything with it, it is charged but it is constantly showing pause on the screen, it is not locked, I can not turn it off and the click wheel does not do anything, the screen is lit all the time, none of the controls do anything

Is it still being recognized by your computer when you plug it in? If nothing else, remove the battery and then reinstall it and see if it starts back up. If so, try the diagnostics mode and check for any errors.

connect it to itunes and do a factory restore on it, it may be software corruption, if not strip the device and use WD-40 contact cleaner if this doesnt solve it there may be a chance its the logic board
