"reflective" tape on the back of the screen?
So I replaced an LCD and front assembly. I just trying to see if all works before I put it together 100%. Does the reflective/ mirror tape have to be attached for the touch screen to work?

without the mirror behind the LCD when you turn the iPod on you will be able to see through the screen to the backing plate of iPod..not always a clean result. touch screen should still work though.
