Memory Card Won’t Read
The printer displays an error message which says the memory card won’t read.
Memory Card Card
Ensure the file is on the memory card, then reinsert.
Memory Card Not Compatible
The HP Envy 5530 is compatible with Secure Digital (SD), Secure Digital Mini (adapter required), Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC), Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC), or TransFlash MicroSD Card (adapter required). Check to make sure your memory card is one of these types then reinsert.
Memory Card Corrupt
Memory card may be unable to read if broken or defective. Try another memory card.
Paper Jam
Paper doesn’t come out of the printer.
Replace Paper and Reprint
Check if the paper tray slides are appropriately sized for the paper
Display Doesn’t Light Up
Printer Doesn’t turn on when the power button is pressed
Check If Printer Is Plugged In
Check rear of printer and make sure power cable is fully inserted.
Printer Not Printing
No paper comes out of the computer when prompted.
Check to see if Printer Is On
Check to see if the power is on. If it is, the power button will be illuminated.
Replace Ink Cartridges
Lift the innermost printer cover so you can see the ink cartridges. Locate the cartridge you want to replace. Flip the topmost tab up. Remove the ink cartridge and replace it with a new one.
Check Paper
Ensure printer paper is in place on the printer tray within the white guides. Also ensure you are using paper that is not larger than 8.25 inches wide by 11.75 inches tall.
Paper Does Not Feed
Paper does not go into printer when prompted.
Paper Incorrectly Lined Up
Ensure printer paper is in place on the printer tray within the white guides. Also ensure you are using paper that is not larger than 8.25 inches wide by 11.75 inches tall.
Paper Blocked
Lift the innermost printer cover so you can see the ink cartridges. Locate the roller cover. Push the two gray plastic tabs of the roller cover together and lift up. If you see any obstructions in the printing rollers, remove them, put the roller cover back in place and reprint.

Ink Cartridge problem: 'The following Ink Cartridge(s) must be replaced.' Shows pink spot on screen. But new cartridges have been installed and problem still exists.

Printer squeaks, I’ve had it at least since 2014. Is it repairable or do I need to buy a new one? Also now says paper size doesn’t fit, it was fine all week. Also can’t get it to print 1 side only, the box is checked 1 side. Tech support says they don’t have trouble shooting steps anymore for the HP Envy 5530. So if I buy a new one what brand is best these days? Should I stick with HP? I was told most new models last 5 years.

I try to print and it says the cartridges are not aligned, but they are. And, when it tries to print a screeching noise occurs and they say there's a jam in the cartridges area but there isn't
