Blackberry Curve 9300 Troubleshooting
- The Blackberry won't turn on
- The Screen doesn't work but phone is on
- The Keyboard is broken
- The Blackberry will not make sound

The Blackberry won't turn on ¶
No matter what you do, you cannot get your phone to turn on.
Phone is not on ¶
Before you take apart your phone because you think your phone won't turn on, hold down the power button for no more than 5 seconds. If the phone turns on, then your phone should be functioning properly.
Drained/bad battery ¶
If your phone won't turn on, plug it into the power outlet. Wait approximately 1 hour and try to turn the phone on. If the phone will still not turn on, the battery may be drained and will need to be replaced. This can be done by following the Battery Replacement Guide
The Screen doesn't work but phone is on ¶
You know that the phone is on, but you can't see anything on your screen.
Cracked screen ¶
If you know that your phone screen is cracked, then that is the reason you cannot see anything on the screen. This means you will need to replace your screen which can be done by using the Screen Replacement Guide
Water damage ¶
If your phone screen is not working and your phone has recently had water damage, your backlight may be broken. If this is the problem, submerge your phone in rice for 24 hours to absorb all of the water. If this does not fix the problem, your backlight may need to be replaced.
The Keyboard is broken ¶
Keyboard buttons missing or sticking.
Missing buttons on keyboard ¶
If your keyboard is missing one or more keys, you need to replace the keyboard which you can do by following the Keyboard Replacement Guide
Sticking buttons on keyboard ¶
If one or more buttons on the keyboard are stuck and not working, you need to replace the keyboard which you can do by following the Keyboard Replacement Guide
The Blackberry will not make sound ¶
The Blackberry will not play sounds for phone calls, music, or alarms.
The volume is turned off ¶
If your phone will not play sound, go to your settings and turn the volume all the way up.
Damaged speaker ¶
If your phone will not play sound and the volume is at its maximum, your speaker is damaged and needs to be replaced. How to replace the speaker can be found by following the Speaker Replacement Guide
A new phone ¶
You got a new phone and you need to active it.
New SIM card ¶
If you got a new phone and you need to insert your old SIM card into your new phone, do so by following the SIM Replacement Guide
