Netbook Will Not Power On
The computer does not respond when the power button is pressed.
Faulty Battery
The computer’s battery may not have any charge left and needs to be recharged.
If the battery will not charge or the computer only works when it is charging, it means that the battery will no longer hold charges and needs replacement.
Faulty Power Adapter
Ensure that the power adapter is plugged into an electrical outlet and into the computer as well.
When the computer is charging, the charging light should be illuminated. If the light doesn’t come on and the computer will not charge, the power adapter is broken and needs replacement.

When plugged into the power adapter, the computer’s battery will not charge.
Faulty Power Adapter
Ensure that the power adapter is plugged into both an electrical outlet as well as the computer itself. The charging light should illuminate on the computer. Over time, the battery should charge; if this does not happen, the power adapter is broken and needs replacement.

When the power adapter is plugged into a power source and the computer, the charging light should illuminate and the battery should charge over time. If the battery does not increase in charge percentage over time, the battery is not storing energy and needs replacement.

Foreign Object Preventing Closure
When trying to close the netbook and the device will not close completely, there could be a foreign object causing interference.
When looking for interference, examine the hinges located between the display monitor and the base of the computer. Interference may include food particles, sticky substances, or even dust. If any of these things are in the way, then they need to be carefully removed by using a wet cloth and the area should be dried with a dry cloth.
Loose Screws
If you’re trying to close the netbook and the screen has some movement when putting force on it, the screws may be loose.
If there is movement on the screen casing when trying to close it, find the screws that are usually located underneath the laptop and make sure that they are tightened all the way.
Faulty Hinges
If the screws are not intact, it may indicate that the hinges needs replacement.

Distorted Photos
When using the front facing camera, it is not displaying the image correctly.
Foreign Substance on Lens
If there is interference on the screen when a picture is taken, there may be dust or other residue on the lens.
Carefully wipe the lens surface with a soft rag to remove anything such as dust particles that could be on the lens.
System Failure
Sometimes, the camera will not function with the current settings. Restart the computer. Then, re-open the camera application and test the camera to see if it will now work.
Scratched Lens
The lens of the camera may have a scratch on it.
If there is a cut across the lens when looking at the camera or there is a line across the screen that is not on the computer screen normally when a photo or video is taken, then these issues are an indication that there is a scratch on the lens.

Cracked Screen
If the camera has been replaced but there is still a crack in the photo, then it is an indication that the crack is on the display screen. To fix the display screen, it must be replaced. You can replace your monitor by following this guide.
Display Screen Is Unresponsive
The screen is not powering on and remains black.
Power Off
The computer itself may be turned off; check that the computer is turned on.
This may be done by checking whether the power light is on. If the computer is turned on, the power light should be illuminated.
Low Brightness
The brightness may be down too low to see anything on the screen; ensure that the display brightness is turned on.
To adjust the display brightness, locate the FN and left arrow keys. Push both buttons at the same time to see if the monitor brightens.
Display Disabled
The display might be disabled if an external monitor was used with the computer.
To toggle back to the computer display, press the FN and F6 keys at the same time.
If the display remains black, it might indicate that the screen needs to be replaced.
Keyboard Is Unresponsive
When typing on the keys, the computer is not reading them.
Key Interference
There may be interference from foreign objects such as food particles or sugary drink residue on or around the keys.
If there is anything interfering, remove the object with a wet cloth and use a dry cloth to dry clean.
System Failure
The keyboard may just not be working correctly under the certain systems that the computer is running.
If this is the case, restart the computer by shutting the computer off and turning it back on.
Malfunctioning Keyboard Keys
If none of the above solutions are working then the keyboard will need to be replaced.
When replacing the keyboard there may only be issues with one key or with the whole keyboard. Follow the steps to determine if it is one key or the whole keyboard.
