I strongly advise using a modeling knife to cut the adhesive when you get a sufficient gap otherwise you may easily break the corners of the extremely thin back glass on the phone (as I did).
There are NO "Opening Picks" in the repair kit!!!!!

The spudger tool has a pointy end and a flat end, it’s not clear which end should be used. Furthermore, the flat end is too wide to insert into the area shown, so the pointy end would seem obvious, but there is no clear indication whether it should be used to push any tabs in the area referenced, which I couldn’t find any, or if you’re meant to just sort of pry it in there until the area pops up, which is what I had to do. Then use the flat end of the spudger to lift it up gently after releasing, or popping the opposite side up as well.

After replacing LCD my phone showing message that “Battery temperature too low“ and pause charging. There are some video showing install wireless charging module after replacing LCD would solve this issue but for me it still not charging even with wireless charging module on. Any suggestion?
samion 2048, This is because the device was turned on before attaching the wireless charging coil. The coil houses the ambient temperature sensor.
once you replace the front screen is the phone still water resistant?
It will be water resistant if you reapply the nescassery adhesives.
I replaced my display with a another display with mid frame attatched already.all i did was change over my mother board,charging port and such and now if i power the phone on i feel it vibrate and see a blue led light up but that is all it does.screen is black and i can feel the vibration feedback if i touch the screen but nothing shows.going out of my mind trying to figure out what went wrong.

Just wondering if I’m just doing the front glass, do you need to take apart the back of the phone or can I just start at step 17 with the battery still attached?

Same question as Kyle, if just the glass is broken, can the glass be repaired by itself without all the extra steps?
Unfortunately since the display is curved it would be close to impossible to just remove the glass without damaging the display.
I followed the guide to the fine details and my phone is just like a new one now !! Thank you iFixit and the Right to repair movement (y) keep it going.
I took my time with the screen replacement, did it in 3 different time, started with back cover, then internal parts and lastly the screen. I already have an iFixit toolkit which greatly helped to removal of the remaining glue/paste/adhesives.
Guide itself is top notch - detailed with photos and explanation.
The packaging of the screen part from iFixit also is one of a kind <3 optimized and guaranteed for success !
Being myself a PC / laptop builder and repair small / regular electronic - changing a phone's screen was a first - it was a very exciting and fun experience.
