UniMac UY55 Keypad Trouble

I have a UniMac Model UY55 washer. I replaced the CPU board and downloaded the new firmware onto the machine. I am trying to navigate on the keypad to finish the setup. The number keypad is responsive but some of the arrow buttons are not. I rechecked all connections on the CPU board twice. I reseated the ribbon cable to the CPU board several times. I did not clean the female ribbon cable connector coming from the keypad. Not sure how to diagnose and or clean. Not sure what made the CPU board go out. Maybe whatever it was may have taken the keypad out also? Any advice would be appreciated!! Thanks
