Help with getting browser back

I have a iMac CoreDuo that I purchased in 2005 the 22". Last evening we had a power outage, but the iMac was shut down once I saw the storm browing. This morning when I tried booting up my Safara will not open; at all. Somehow I ended up with a FireFox that states it isn't compatable with this machine. I always wait until the system ask me to update FireFox. I have only use of Flock browser with no address menu bar.

I would like help with Safari so I can download another FireFox. Safari icon still in my dock but will not open. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Try deleting the Safari .plist file (Users YourAccount/Library/Preferences: com.apple.Safari.plist). When applications act strangely it's often a corrupted .plist file or a font.

You might also be able to reset Safari, however doing that looses all your log in information on sites that had previously stored data in cookies.
