My Sansung had a bright green vertical line. It was a bad screen. Got a replacement from Aliexpress.
If you want to DIY, the likely have one for your Sony and the necessary tools - with teardowns on youtube.
Otherwise, get a quote form a local tech and consider the economics of a fix vs new or used.
