image articles unable to down load in my external hard disc

I am unable to download image based articles in my External Hard Disc, but when saved in the desk top it is perfect. Error message is as follows.

Safari cant show the file E PAPER Chennai 19 11 25_GL3F6FPU K.1PNG IN THE FINDER because the file has moved since you downloaded it.

I will be obliged for a solution please. Narayanan Lakshmanan India.

Sounds like you downloaded the file to the internal download folder, then moved the file to the external drive and are trying to open the file via the software in the recents menu where it no longer exists. Try navigating to the external drive and open it from there OR move it back to the download folder and see if it opens. also check that the external drive is in a readable format (APFS/ExFAT/Mac OS Journaled)
