How to open the casing on this hotspot?

Hi, ive had a bunch of ants nest in this Telstra 5G hotspot twice now. The first time a couple months ago, had no issues and no ants since and they randomly showed up again today.

Just wanting to know how to pry open the casing to get in there and get the rest of the ants out as shaking and whacking them out of the USB ports isn’t getting them all out. I can’t seem to find any kind of button or lever that could quickly pop it open, and have tried using a credit card, knife and my fingernails but just can’t get it open.

It’s an MU5120 model.

Hi @maltie

You may have to apply some heat (hair dryer?) around the edges of the rear cover to see if it softens the adhesive sufficiently to be able to insert an appropriate pry tool (examples only) to remove the cover.

Do not get it too hot as you don't want to cause problems with the battery becoming overheated

Also check that there's no recessed screw under the product label that may be holding it in place as well, just in case
