Headphone jack not detecting when a device is plugged in.
Bought the thing specifically for the headphone jack and like 2-3 weeks in it stops working. Tried several different pairs of headphones and no dice. I’m assuming they put a relatively cheap jack in there but still annoying. I assume I’ll have to tear it apart and re-solder a joint somewhere but figured I’d ask the experts here first. Any help is appreciated!
Have you thought about returning it for a replacement as that is what I would do with the seller.
If it's used and you still want it then you will likely need to open it up and at least see why the jack (or the electronics) have failed.
Are you sure the Bluetooth/WiFi link to your TV is working? I'm not sure if the audio output is independent to the TV's IR link for the remote's controller.
