A Desktop PC built from off-the-shelf DIY parts, rather than a prebuilt from a major manufacturer. These can also be built by an SI using off-the-shelf parts.

Why doesn't the PC turn on when I press the power button?

My PC won't turn on even though all the cables are connected to the power outlet. Is the power supply completely dead?

Hi @adiladianjaya

What is the make and model number of the motherboard?

Most likely the PSU is an ATX type so if you have a DMM (digital multimeter) you can perform the paperclip test and check if the PSU turns on and that all the PSU's output voltages are correct.

If the PSU is OK it may be a problem with the Power On button's cable connection to the motherboard or something on the motherboard itself.

Has this PC worked OK before or is this a new build?
