My headset is not displaying anything

I've asked steam support for help with this and all they say is come here or buy a new one since the warranty is expired.

When my headset is connected to my pc, the lights on the front of the headset will be solid blue, but the headset itself will not display anything, and Steam VR tells me that the headset is not being detected, despite it recognizing that the headset is connected. i don't know what to do anymore and i don't even know what parts i should be getting if i were to replace anything
