Location for LG troubleshooting and repair.

Hooked up dishwasher and still will not fill with water.

LG Dishwasher LDF7774ST

I just replaced the soap dish and drain motor (Noisy bearings, tripping an "0E" code , not draining). New soap dish in door replaced carefully so as not to move any control boards or plugs. Started dishwasher and water started to spray and abruptly stopped. All internet and LG repair info pointed to water fill valve. Changed Valve, put in new stainless supply line, (looked old), lots of water flow to sink. Hooked up dishwasher and still will not fill with water. We hear the drain pump at start and circulation pump after. No Water. Can you please help on what and how to test next step.

Suspecting float an/or possible control board. but would like to test before replace.

Thank you,

Terry

Hi @terry797

Here's the service manual for the dishwasher.

Go to p.14 to see how to run the test mode for all the components.

Pages p.27→p.29 have all the error codes and their possible causes.

If there's an IE code then on p.30 there's an inlet error troubleshooting flowchart that may help.

@terry797

Possible cause could be a faulty water flow sensor aka fill sensor. This is used to detect the water flowing in.

Follow the "Inlet error" flowchart on p.30 of the manual and go down the left hand route to where it says "check the voltage NA8/1-2 as this is the sensor connection to the control board - see the wiring diagram on p.68

Here's a video that shows how to replace it which at least will help to locate where it is.

The part number shown in the video is the part number for the one used in your model as well.

If you think that it is faulty, search for the part number to find suppliers that suit you best

Thank you jayeff for your answer.

I cannot get any combination of buttons to display the test mode on my dishwasher.

Door open, closed, start with "Auto" without auto, "Delay Start + Power" or any combination of test mode buttons to push. from page 14 of the Service Manual.

The drier fluid door was broken so I put in a new soap dish at the same time as pump replace. Code 0E and noisy bearings.

The first start, started with waster filling and abruptly shut off after approximately 3 seconds into the fill cycle.

I thought i just used water held in the float assembly and the inlet valve failed to open. I replaced the inlet valve.

The dishwasher starts, drains, "I can program the cycles I want", but no water supplied.

No kinks in new stainless steel line, drain works when I add water into the dishwasher. Water is turned on and flows freely from the dishwasher hook up line into the sink. No codes displayed. No Water. No test codes work.

Thank you,

Terry
