The sound you hear could be the bearings in your blade assembly in the container going bad. With the leaking in addition, you may want to invest in a new container. The worn out bearings in your blade assembly may have caused the assembly to move during use and worn the plastic causing the hole at the bottom to widen. When you get the new container replace your drive socket too.
