Maytag washer MVW4505MW.
Had new washer delivered yesterday. We installed it, and it's level. This noise continues through the wash cycle (15 minutes for Normal load). I've never heard such a thing and I can't imagine living with this. This noise actually speeds up during the cycle as well, then slows to this again. Normal... or no?

Have you checked that the washing in the machine was evenly distributed around the tub?
Yours may be a bit louder than others but it seems that that is what they sound like as least during the wash cycle.
Here's a video from another 2024 Maytag model where the same sort of noise can be heard.
Go to 14:09 minutes to hear it washing and at 18:05 it spinning.
I agree with you that it shouldn't be that loud so since the washer is that new, contact the Maytag customer service centre in your location and ask them for a warranty repair. If they say that it is normal, then go back to the retailer and ask for a demonstration of the same machine there and check if it makes the same noise. At least that way you'll know, one way or the other.

Thanks for sharing that video... Could definitely hear that same noise! I guess I'll have to turn up the radio or tv so it doesn't annoy me so much! Yes, clothes were evenly distributed and I did call Maytag. Someone is coming out on Monday! I'm going to do another load on Sunday and video it again for them!

Mine sounds pretty much like that too. I figured that's just the way they sound. I do 't know. I agree it's kinda' noisy! But not deafening at least.
