Kwikset Premis Replacing the screen/keypad
Does anyone have any experience replacing just the keypad/screen of a Kwikset smart lock? I see parts for it being sold but cannot find any instructions or videos on how to replace the screen.

I actually had this same question and purchased that keypad replacement from eBay. The process to remove and replace the part was pretty straightforward. Remove the lock from the door, and remove the 6 screws that hold the metal plate on the back of the keypad. Once you remove the plate, you will need to remove 1 ground screw, and the keypad will come out. Replacement is the opposite, just need to make sure the cable stays in the channel so it will ensure a proper fit.

Yep that’s exactly what I did. Worked like a charm. I wish I would have taken pics step by step but if anyone has questions feel free to reach out.
