Can't turn TV on or off with remote and can't change sound level.
my tv remote will not turn tv on or off and will not adjust the sound level, the buttons on the back of the tv do work. everything else works on the remote,

Hi @iwayne
The Power and the Volume Up/Down buttons are the three most used buttons on a TV remote.
What happens is either the button contacts are dirty preventing good electrical contact or more likely the button contact surface material has worn off.
You will have to open the remote and check what the problem is.
