Well I will suggest you to updater or reinstall the Bluetooth driver in you system. If your Bluetooth driver is missing you can install it from the office website or you can try a good driver utility software like Advanced driver update to update and find the missing driver in your system.

What is the model number of the laptop as shown on the product information label on the bottom of the laptop?
Has BT worked OK before on the laptop?
What OS is installed on the laptop, Win7, Win8.1, Win10, Win 11, Linux OS?
If Windows OS have you checked the status of the BT adapter in Device Manager, to see if it is installed correctly?
