the lightning connector is quite loose inside the port and if I move it up and down it makes a clicking sound. This doesn’t happen when I move it side to side. I need to pull up on the cable to make the phone charge (if the screen is facing me i need to pull the cable towards me)
Do I need to replace the lightning connector assembly? I cleaned the port quite well so I doubt that it’s dust…

If you already cleaned very well the connector, then yes you need to replace the lightning connector assembly.
