MacBook rebooting every 2 second - Internet/Local Recovery not working

Hoping someone can help, as I am at wits end with this one.

My Macbook Display Assembly had somehow got liquid inside it. I checked the internals of the Macbook to see whether the liquid had found its way inside, and there were no visible signs of any liquid within the Macbook. So I thought great, I'll just replace the Display. Worth mentioning that the Macbook was booting with no issues after checking the internals.

Since changing the display, the Macbook when powered on has been displaying the Apple logo for no longer than a couple of seconds, then restarting itself and going through that process repeatedly until it is manually switched off by holding the power button down.

I tried resetting the SMC, that did nothing. Resetting the NVRAM/PRAM seemed to have an effect, but only as far as preventing the Apple logo from showing up at all - instead I just now get a faint grey background on the screen as the backlight comes on, with no Apple logo.

The machine is completely unable to boot into either local or internet recovery mode (as I was initially thinking the disk may need first aid if the machine is restarting as soon as it attempts to boot into the drive).

Local recovery mode (CMD + R) simply does not boot (the Macbook just continues restarting itself before it can boot into recovery mode), and Internet Recovery starts off promising - getting to the loading bar 'starting internet recovery, this may take a while' - gets all the way to the end, then either restarts itself and goes back to its original restarting state, or gives me the error -1008f. I have tried both CMD + OPTION + R, and CMD + SHIFT + OPTION + R.

Error -1008f seems to relate to internet connection, however I have already tried with both WiFi and via a USB-C to Ethernet adapter. Both yield the same results. the Macbook also gets incredibly hot towards the top of the palmrest closest to the screen, and the fans spin on what sounds like full blast while the machine is trying to load internet recovery.

I have also tried connecting the machine to another Macbook to use Apple Configurator to try a revive the problem Mac, but it does not seem to want to boot into DFU mode, rather just goes back to its restarting every 1-3 second phase.

At this point, I am thinking a faulty logic board is the only possible outcome - is there anything else I can try?

Sadly the bottom side of the logic board which if you take off the bottom cover then is often not the first place the liquids gets into. You’ll need to take the logic board fully out to inspect the other side. Review Steps 3 & 4 in this 2019款配备触控栏的15寸MacBook Pro拆解 the second picture in either is the other side.

It maybe time to find a Mac repair specialist near you who haves the deeper skills and tools to repair/replace the needed parts.

Hi thanks for responding. I had already taken the logic board out and inspected both sides - there is no evidence of any liquid contact on either side of the logic board, and no signs of any liquid having entered the inside of the Macbook in the first place (I would have expected to see some residual liquid inside if this was the case, as the issue only happened very recently). I am going to try to install the old Display to see if any difference would be made and will report back.
