Im looking at getting a laptop for university, although i don't need to run any harsh programs I do play games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R, minecraft and WOT blitz. so i guess lighter gaming.
Up for options, I use a HP elitebook 840 G2 at the moment. Im looking at either getting the new version or getting the HP zbook firefly g11. it comes with a integrated arc gpu or a rtx a500 so i dont know whats worth it. hmu with suggestions.

The Intel Ultra chips are better than the older CPU's but they still run hot and are power hungry with heavy graphics, The NVIDEA discrete GPU adds more heat and lowers the systems run time on battery again with the heavy graphics in use. Lastly at a higher expense.
I would stick with the Ultra only model and get a game deck as a better option as you'll need your battery power to study and write your prize winning PhD theses!
