Parts of the screen is unresponsive to touch after water damage

Basically my aunt was cooking and accidentally got the phone wet, she said it was water droplets and the screen started going crazy. It started to do random stuff and almost called someone, after that a few parts of the phone screen work and others don't, is it an issue with the LCD?

Around the middle part of the screen isn't responding to touch.
