Use a DMM's (digital multimeter) Ohmmeter function to check if the dryer belt switch (aka interlock switch or idler switch) is OK i.e. check that there's continuity through the switch.

If the switch is faulty i.e. it tests open circuit, then the dryer won't start.

Here's a video that shows how to replace the switch in a GE dryer, that may help.

If the switch is faulty, search online for WD21X10261 to find suppliers that suit you best.
