My controller won't connect to the play station

It's been working properly for short amount of time and then it stopped working and won't work without being connected directly with a cable.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi! Does the controller stays on without the cable? Or does it turn off? Also, do other controllers work on your Playstation?

You could also try resetting the controller with the little button on the back of it and then repair it to the playstation, you'll need a paperclip or something like that.
