Is there a way to capture the original owners iCloud registered email?

I recently purchased an iCloud locked iPhone with the intention of using its parts to repair another one I have lying around. However, I noticed that everything still seems to work fine and it is just activation locked.

I saw this video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S36-4fXW... about capturing the owners email to contact them. I have 2 questions:

1. Is this a legit way of finding the previous owners contact information?
2. Is there a way of doing this with a more legit looking piece of software?

To be clear, I am not trying to get the original owners email in order to break into their iCloud account, I would like to be able to find it so I can contact them and ask if they can remove it from their iCloud account.

Thanks in advance for any help!

@tomchai So from what I understand, Getting my account registered with GSX will allow me to reset it myself? I assume I have to have an apple developer account to do this?

I am mainly looking for a way to get the original owner's email address

@computerashes No you need to be AASP or Apple employee to get access to this and using it like this seem to violate their data protection guidelines, that's why I say it's not legit. That doesn't prevent you from asking someone to look it up for you though, usually for a fee.

@tomchai Since I don't know anyone with GSX access, do you have any other recommendations or ideas about my original question?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to legally or ethically obtain the original owner's iCloud registered email from an activation-locked iPhone. Apple has strict security measures in place to protect users' personal information and prevent unauthorized access to devices.

Here are some legal and ethical steps you can take if you want to try to use the device:

1. Contact the Seller:

- Reach out to the person or place where you purchased the iPhone. If the seller is the original owner, they might be able to remove the activation lock for you.

2. Apple Support:

- If you have proof of purchase, you can contact Apple Support. They might be able to help you remove the activation lock if you can provide documentation that you are the legitimate owner of the device.

3. Use the Parts:

- Since you originally intended to use the device for parts, you can still proceed with using the hardware components to repair another device.

Attempting to bypass the activation lock through unofficial means or obtaining the previous owner's information without their consent is not advisable and could potentially be illegal. If you're unable to resolve the activation lock issue through the above methods, it's best to use the device for parts as you initially planned.

@gamerluca009 I bought it from an e-waste company, so they don't have access to the iCloud account. I have already tried contacting apple support, but they cannot unlock it without the original receipt. As for the parts, I will use them if there is really no way to unlock the device.

I feel like I need to rephrase my original question, I am not trying to get the original owners email in order to break into their account, I would like to use it so that I may contact them and ask them to remove it from their iCloud
