If your laptop is a Samsung NP-N102S-B05PH then you can install a 64-bit Operating System as the both the CPU (Intel Atom 2100) and the chipset (Intel NM10) support it.
Problem is that it only supports a maximum of 2GB of memory so this will limit the performance in any case whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit.
