Why does my Ice Maker Door not open?
While my unit produces Ice, it has stopped opening the door that allows it to dispense. Is there a way to check the motor/solenoid that opens this? Model # PYE22KMKBES 2/24/17 install.

Check that it isn't a broken duct door that is the problem and not the duct door motor.
Not totally sure but run Service Diagnostic test 00 43 cycle duct door as shown in the mini manual to see if it opens and closes.
If this isn't the correct test or if it is and the door doesn't open, on p.3 of the manual (see diagram for Model PFE28K, PYE22K, PFH28, DYE22, DFE28) it shows that the duct door motor (185 Ohms) is connected between connector pins J3/7 and J3/15 of the door board. If the motor is faulty search online for WR60X10344 to find suppliers that suit you best. Here's a video that shows how to replace the motor.
