MacBook does not enter sleep on low battery after battery replacement

MacBook does not enter sleep on low battery after battery replacement

Hello,

After changing my MacBook Pro Retina batery using iFixit battery I notice that my MB does sleep if not in use but when working with it It drain all the battery and does not sleep on low battery it just go down.

It is doing this since the replacement.

I already try to reset SMC with no success.

I already see that other buyers did get the same issue with the replacement battery, so is there any fix for this issue ?

Here is the information

When I have time I will disconnect the battery for full drain residual current.

First step install this gem of an App! CoconutBattey let’s get a snapshot of the apps main window posting it here so we can see.

Then let’s give this a try! Disconnect the charger and any other connections, carefully disconnect the battery with it disconnected press and hold the power button for a good 15 secs to fully discharge the logic board which will also do a hard reset of SMC.

Then you need to reconnect the charger which should spontaneously restart your system, let the system fully bootup and the do a clean shutdown. Now reconnect the battery and restart your system.
