Replaced P7P with Ifixit kit, has white line on display

Replaced P7P screen with Ifixit kit, has white line on display. Attempted disconnecting and checking the ribbon cable multiple times, still with line. If I take a screenshot the white line isn't there.

Any tips?

Contact iFixit store personnel at support@ifixit.com. The parts they sell are genuine Google parts and come with a lifetime warranty.

I have to note here that based on just my own personal observations, it appears to me that Google seems to have a bit of a problem with the quality of their replacement parts. I have read about many cases where a brand new genuine screen did not work correctly upon installation, requiring a return and replacement.

This is not by any means a criticism of iFixit, as everything I've seen just reinforces my belief that they do their best to find and sell the best quality parts available. You would certainly think selling parts provided by the manufacturer would be the best you can get, but that idea seems to be challenged by Google.

Thank you. IFixit stands by their 'Never take broken for an answer.' I submitted a request for a replacement and although I'm on screen #3, it is replaced with fingerprint and display working - I'm very satisfied.

I have the same problem. I have had my screen replaced 3 times. The line starts as a green line, 1 pixel wide, and is usually intermittent until it widens and whitens. I had my phone serviced at ubreakifix and the tech's notes are "there is a white line on the right side of the screen starting at the top and running to the bottom / no phy or liq damage..... " "Condtion Notes: Very good. No visible physical damage. Little to almost no cosmetic wear. (No more than 3-5 small, minor cosmetic blemishes.)"

Today I called Asurion and said I was going to warranty my device because I feel like I have evidence that it isn't a screen issue and that a certified tech did not find damage (there isn't any) so I don't expect to have my deductible charged upon receipt of the device... and that if I am charged, I will challenge that charge and expect that a third party would agree with me."
