I’ve had this laptop for almost 3 years now and the infamous battery bloating is now becoming very concerning to me. I’m willing to fix it myself as i’m more than capable of doing so but I can’t find somewhere safe to buy the battery for this laptop from. Does it use the same battery as a previous model or is it simply unable to be purchased? I would love to know.

You may find more reputable battery suppliers by searching for the battery model number and not the laptop's model number.
A battery can be used in more than one device but it may not be listed by a seller as being compatible with your particular model as they may not know this.
Here's a video that may help with this.
I realize that it isn't the same model but hopefully it will be close enough for you to use to see how to open the case to gain access to the battery.
It is a bit too small for me to make out but I think that the model number for the battery shown in the video is shown on the top left corner of the battery, under where it says Razer Lithium Ion battery pack.
If you find the battery model number, search online for (insert model number) battery to hopefully find suppliers.
