Very hot and screen is black
My MacBook recently stopped working. I had been running CLion on it, and i closed it to take a break. When i came back, The screen was black, and it was very hot. Any help is appreciated!

Not good! Either you have a process loop which is running your system hard if you haven’t shut the system down or you have a logic board short.

I have tried to restart it multiple times, so I’m guessing the latter. Do I have any options besides getting a new board?
@elvismeng - Repair is what I would look into. It all depends what failed.
While not a repair guide, you can use this to review your board 带功能键版本的 MacBook Pro 13寸 2016年末款拆解 for damage. Jump to Step 15 ~ 18. Do you see any burnt components or areas of the logic board?
If this is too much for you to get into there are people with logic board repair skills who should be able to repair your board.
