Why is disc not spinning ip

I have a ps3 slim 3001A and when I insert a disc it accepts it and it’ll eject it but it will not spin up the disc or make any noise at all to indicate it’s even trying. Do I need to replace the whole drive or does anyone have an idea for a cheaper part that could be replaced?
