I purchased a component cable for ps3 for my playstation 2.

My question Is my compoent video switch set up correctly?

I didn't know that the switch only has 5 ports, but the compoent cable has 6 plugs. Right now, I only have the red and white audio connected along with the yellow connected in the green port.

The playstation 2 is set for compoent cable in the menu. The cable replaces an oem cable that broke. I'm using a compoent cable for ps3 since they are easier to find and cheaper in price then a ps2 compoent cable.

That amazon cable for the ps2/3 has both component and composite, also known as rgb and rca/av, Your switcher only supports rgb video, which you seem to have confused with rca. You need to plug the green, blue, and red from the ps2 into the green blue and red ports on the switcher. You have audio plugged in correctly though.

I did the switch. I have never heard of compoent and composite in the same cable.
