Earpiece speaker does not work after screen replacement.

I used the pixel pro screen replacement parts and guide to replace my wifes broken pixel 7 pro screen. Everything seemed to go well and the screen and fingerprint work fine, but the earpiece speaker does not work anymore (this is the speaker that you would use when holding the phone to your ear during a call).

I thought maybe I shorted or damaged it in some way during the screen repair, so I order a new earpiece speaker and followed a guide to install it, but it did not fix the issue. Any ideas on how to fix the speaker issue?
