Water slowly flooding steam vent fan assembly.

Hello, I have a small leak in the front of my LG dishwasher. After removing the front plate I noticed condensed water at the bottom of the steam vent that slowly leaked out. After running the machine with the plate off, I noticed water would flood the vent assembly and the housing directly next to it near the top. Once it floods water would travel left, and down the vent shaft, eventually ending up on the floor. The fan is not running at this time. This flooding occurs nearly 20-25 minutes into a heavy cycle. I am currently allowing it to fully cycle with a bowl to catch the water. I would appreciate any advice on a solution. Thanks.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing a leak in your LG dishwasher. Water in the bottom of your LG dishwasher may be due to a clogged drainage system or drain basket, a loose connection around the 90 degree elbow joints and water supply line, or using the wrong detergent, overloading the machine, or leaking hoses.

LG USA Support Video Tutorials provides a video tutorial on how to fix common leaking issues with LG dishwashers. The video suggests that if you notice leaking coming from the bottom of your LG dishwasher, a loose connection around the 90 degree elbow joints and water supply line may be the result for leakage. If there are no visible signs of leakage, take a dry paper towel and touch around the water supply line in the 90 degree elbow joint. Wet spots on a towel will indicate leaking. The 90 degree elbow joint is attached to the inlet valve and the water supply line is attached to the elbow joint.

I hope this helps!
