My screen doesn't turn on when the computer does?

So i changed the keyboard on my mac from qwerty to spanish. Everything seemed to have gone splendid until i put it back together and turned it on. This is what i get the computer turns on the light on the lower right of my mac turns on(the one on the side of the computer that pulses when mac is closed)but none of the keyboard leds work and my screen is black. I then put on my old keyboard and nothing. i think i blew it but i don't see how. if someone can tell me what i could have done wrong and how to fix, I would appreciate it. or maybe tell me where i can get the answers or get this fixed..

Follow RDKL's advice and reseat the RAM, make sure its all the way in there, u should feel a slight "thump" so-to-speak when the RAM is properly seated and try the PMU reset. Once again, this is RDKL's advice so if it works, thank him and accept his answer.

When you removed the topcase did you remove the power supply and battery? the topcase replacement is pretty straight forward and I don't see how you would fry your board. Do u hear the start up chime when u boot? If u see the light that means there's life there, do you hear the optical drive on start up?

I would take the topcase back off and make sure that the data cable that goes from the display to the logic board is properly seated, This connector is tricky and you have to make sure you hear the "click" when you re-attach, that's if you took it off in the first place, cause it's not necessary for topcase replacement.

Step 16 of this guide shows which cable I'm referring to: MacBook Core Duo Right Clutch Hinge Replacement

Hi! If Majestys suggestion doesn't work, I would reseat the ram, and try to reset the pmu immediately afterward.

Good one RDKL, although it wasn't necessary, he might of took the RAM out for the replacement.+++

Quick question RDKL, do you HAVE to reset the PMU after a RAM upgrade?

Hi Majesty! He may have taken the RAM out while removing the topcase, but it's not necessary to, so I wasn't assuming he did. Or if he did, he may have not seated it fully when putting it back. No, you don't have to reset the PMU when you upgrade RAM. As a general rule, though, when working on a problematic machine, I always reset the PMU and PRAM if I can, before I do anything else. It "clears the slate", so to speak, and also tells you quite a lot about the condition of the machine if you are or aren't able to do those resets. In addition, these resets can sometimes "jump start" machines that are in a hung state, so it's always worth a try.

The very same thing happens to me and when I connect the external monitor everything is there, I could just work with the external monitor but you know that's not practical at all, haha!, I could really use your help guys. Of course i would be interested on traying the suggested solution here but I would like some guide on how to reset the RAM and the PMU. Thanks.
